Vintage aircraft (the DC-3 and the Connie) use non-directional beacons (NDB's) for navigation. Actually most modern aircraft does as well, but VOR navigation and more recently GPS navigation has replaced it. To navigate with this system, simply put the frequency for the beacon in your Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) receiver. Then fly in the direction of the indication. You can have two beacons in your ADF at once and triangulate. You can get paper charts, use online charts like vfrmap.com/, or use our route data available in this forum. As always if you have any questions, just ask.
