OVAir is providing transportation services to the Akron Zips athletic programs in exchange for promotional opportunities. Any pilot can take part in these charters.
The Zips compete in the Mid American Conference
Pilots can take these charter flights at any time, simply Change Location to KCAK and pick a flight. Most are within an hour each way. There are no schedules or sign-ups as the 19 programs are constantly travelling. Flights originate at Akron Canton Airport. Flights to Bowling Green and Toledo use the same destnation airport. The Zips don't fly to Kent State, it is only 12 miles away.
The CRJ700 is required for baseball, football, soccer, softball, and track
Either the CRJ700 or the Beech 1900 can be used for basketball, cross country, golf, tennis, volleyball, and rifle
